The movie premiers in Austin this week and I could not be more excited. I’m also laying down some usable Youtube footage for the up and coming Uncommon Ramen Youtube Channel. Exciting stuff! I am so stoked!

The Process of Making Ramen
I love watching B-Roll of ramen restaurants. It’s one of the main reasons I will watch documentaries on ramen. One of my favorites is here, on a channel I supported through Patreon. It’s one of the main reasons I am so jazzed for the upcoming Ramen Heads film. If you haven’t heard much about it,…
Body by Ramen
Yes it’s a result, but maybe not what we are looking for. I have seen knobs of butter and spoons of lard disappear into soups and broths that do not go down the drain. They go somewhere. Empty bowls fill the sink but not the broth… I have flavored porkfat and schmaltz with garlic…
Ramen as a craft or a hobby
Why do I even bother with this ridiculous soup?
Slurp! Seriously it changes a lotta stuff

Moar upgrades

Ramen Heads movie
I can’t wait for this movie. The featured ramen chef was a disciple of Yamagishi and shares his obsessive drive to create the perfect ramen. I have long wondered what lurked below the surface of a bowl of dipping broth from Taishoken. Now we get to see the next evolution. Just take a look at…
Googly eyed ramen
